On the occasion of the professional holiday, the Day of the Bar, Volodymyr Yemelianov, Senior Partner at the DGRAVITY LEGAL law firm, was honored with the highest award of the Ukrainian National Bar Association (UNBA) — the “Outstanding Advocate” Order.
The award ceremony took place on 19 December at the UNBA office.
According to the Regulation, the Order is conferred on advocates whose professional activity contributes to the development of the Bar as an institution, enhances the authority of the Bar, consolidates the legal community, and upholds high professional standards and ideals of honor.
“For me, this is a great honor and at the same time a reminder of the responsibility we bear every day when working with the law and with people’s lives. I sincerely thank the Ukrainian National Bar Association for this distinction and my colleagues for their trust,” Mr. Yemelianov noted. “I see this Order not as a conclusion, but as a commitment to continue upholding the highest professional standards and defending the independence of the Bar.”
“I am grateful to my team at DGravity Legal and to all colleagues we work alongside — in courts, in proceedings, and in the everyday, sometimes ‘tense’ situations where you have to maintain the profession, not emotions,” he added.
Mr. Yemelianov also spoke about his work within the UNBA Committee on the Protection of Advocates’ Rights and Guarantees of Advocacy. “There you quickly understand a simple thing: professional guarantees either work in a specific situation, or they are just words. That is why this award is another incentive for me to do everything possible to ensure these guarantees actually work. Thank you for your trust. I will live up to it,” the advocate emphasized.
